Today's horoscope is right on the money
Aquarius - You may be frustrated today by your desire to make long-term plans since you know that they are logically out of the question now. Part of the problem is that you want stability, yet the current circumstances stir up old issues. You are reminded that everything changes, including those things you thought were forever. As challenging as it is to separate your past from your future,...

Daily horoscopes - Aquarius
The same things that might have created a meltdown in your life previously don’t seem to affect you very much today. The unresolved issues are still there; it’s just that you have a firm inner resolve now that won’t be pulled off track. Keep your eyes focused on the distance. You will reach your goal if you don’t let yourself become distracted, even if it takes more time...

The Universe and I Make Peace - Temporarily,...
Today I twice heard I Just Want to Be Your Everything by Andy Gibb. TWICE.
Then after I was leaving swoony-goodness filled The Young Victoria, what should come up on my ipod’s shuffle? Only the song that will teach you everything you ever needed to know about love ever. Of course I mean Islands in the Stream by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.
It’s a sign right? Love things are...

Role Models.
I’m with my mom and aunt this weekend, doing a family gals’ thing, which I haven’t done in years. It’s been equal parts frustration and happy times so far.
Highlight: My mom and aunt were just talking about when my mom married my dad. Not a long union, actually. But at their wedding, when the JP said something about sharing worldly possessions, my aunt busted out laughing...

Roger Ebert on no longer being able to eat or drink.
This is super poignant. Also, I dare you to get through it without going to the kitchen for a snack. I made a little plate of cheddar cheese and cornichons, because there is nothing else, besides milk and eggs and condiments and scary NYE leftovers, in the fridge. Which is sad, but not in the same way living...

Resolutions: I have them
I know a lot of people think resolutions are stupid, and that people should make and stick to goals all through the year if they’re serious about them. But last year, I made some resolutions and I did really good with them. For maybe the first year ever. And you know what they say about positive reinforcement. So here I am, back again. I’m a big believer in resolutions and goals and...
